Dizziness & vertigo
Vertigo or dizziness are not symptoms you would instantly associate with physiotherapy. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is a problem with the inner ear and the most common cause of vertigo. Dizziness is typically worse with bending quickly and turning in bed.
The Epley manoeuvre (inner ear positioning technique), is performed by our physiotherapists and is an effective way to treat dizziness caused by BPPV. The Epley manoeuvre involves performing four separate head movements, to move fragments in the ear and causing vertigo, to a place where they no longer cause symptoms. Reported success rate is 80% within 1-2 treatment sessions.
"Excellent experience at this physio, second to none. All questions answered and very good outcome of treatment."
