Knee weakness
Most people come to us because of pain, but we can also help with weakness. Muscles can become weak after injury and surgery or because of poor postures. In the knee, a feeling of giving way can be caused by the knee cap being tilted or not moving correctly.
Physiotherapy treatment can involve soft tissue release of tight muscles, strengthening and balance exercises, joint mobilisations of the knee cap and taping to correct the knee cap position. You will be given advice about training and posture, to help prevent a recurrence. If a biomechanical issue is identified, you may be referred for gait analysis.
Lesley was delighted that her symptoms were full recovered after just two sessions and she was back to playing tennis.
"I have always had excellent treatment with very friendly staff. You are made to feel at ease from coming into the reception. I would highly recommend this practice."
