Lower back pain
As lower back pain affects 80% of us at some point in our lives, our physiotherapists are no strangers to treating the back; from the first acute episode, to a worsening 30-year problem. We understand that back pain can have a very negative impact on your quality of life and sleep.
Your physiotherapy assessment will involve an examination of your back and how you are moving. Sometimes pain is due to compensating for an issue somewhere else. Acupuncture and massage can ease pain and muscle spasm, facilitating pain-free movement. Manual therapy will mobilise the joints and help to reduce stiffness. You will have some homework too, in the form of a personal exercise plan of stretches and strengthening exercises. In the case of chronic issues, advice will be given for long term management, so you can maintain the improvement gained following treatment.
"I've had physio previously re my back elsewhere and this experience at Premier has been far more beneficial / professional. I would (and have) already recommend."
